Forever Marzipan Circus combines dazzling aerial choreography, comedic acrobatics and whimsical dance in this 25 minute 2-woman show!!
The show is designed to amaze and tickle the funny bones of all ages. Perfect for outdoor gatherings, festivals, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations and block parties!
The show’s featured artists, Elise Thea and Gwynne Flanagan, have been creating and performing circus together for over 8 years. Their experience combined with humor and pizzazz brings a unique energy to the show.
We can create custom tailored shows special for your event, and even include additional acts such as fire/hula hoop/cyr wheel/juggling for additional fee.

About Gwynne
Gwynne Flanagan is a powerful performer, and believes the key to transformative storytelling demands evocative and visceral physical engagement. She is passionate about creating performances that bridge the gap between contemporary theater and circus. Flanagan has been a fixture in the Washington DC circus scene since 2010. Originally from California, she studied theater arts at San Francisco State University, and completed an MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater. In 2012, she graduated from the New England Center for Circus Arts Performance Program, with a focus on aerial fabric and duo trapeze.
Gwynne is a founding member of Girls on Trapeze and Infinite Stage Theater. She has routinely performed with; In the Dark Circus Arts, Sweet Spot Aerial Productions, Skylark Creative Group Events and Entertainment, Artstella Entertainment, East Coast Entertainment, Nimble Arts, Show Circus, e2k Productions, Arachne Aerial Arts, Artisan Athletics, New York Circus Arts Academy, The Skybox, AirBorne DC, Zip Zap Circus, Deviated Theatre, and In-Flight Theater Company. Elise Thea
About Elise Thea
Elise Thea is an aerial originator with a stunning stage presence who blends circus, dance, and theater into compelling acts. She is most often seen on her specialty aerial apparatus, the aerial halo, but also creates art on fabric, hoop, trapeze, and chains.
Her aerial work draws upon her extensive dance experience, which includes Modern, Ballet, Bharata Natyam, and various forms of African dance, as well as her theatrical training.
Although she fell in love with birds while getting her B.A. in Biology from Oberlin College, she decided to take flight herself and attended the New England Center for Circus Arts ProTrack program. A versatile artist, she has filled the Alamodome in San Antonio with her stage presence, entertained lively crowds from bar tops in San Francisco and Chicago, and performed with grace befitting of her audience at the distinguished Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.
Elise’s signature acts include unique, character-driven choreography with strong musicality, whether it’s to classical music or Jimi Hendrix. She has performed as a soloist, in an ensemble, and for some lucky audiences, as one half of Forever Marzipan - the dazzling, dynamic duo with a mean comedic streak. From black box theatrical productions to ballroom gala glitz, Elise brings impeccable professionalism to her work both on and off stage.
Currently based in the DC area, she enjoys walking her cat, bird watching, and creating small crafts to please her aesthetically driven heart.
